Mr. Brown was born and raised in Maryland, and has lived his entire life in Harford County. He is extremely excited to be a part of the Mays Chapel team and community. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. He began teaching in the fall of 2010 at Hawthorne Elementary School, where he spent two years in first grade and the following four years in kindergarten. Mr. Brown is currently attending Goucher College, where he is pursuing a Master's degree in School Improvement Leadership. He looks forward to making a positive and meaningful impact on his students and the community of Mays Chapel. Mr. Brown is a huge fan of science fiction, ranging everywhere from superheroes to Star Wars. In his free time, he enjoys living life to the fullest with his wife Jenn and son Sawyer, hiking with his dog Reese, rooting for the Ravens and Orioles, watching movies, staying active in sports leagues, and spending time with his immediate and extended family.
Mrs. England is delighted to be teaching kindergarten at Mays Chapel Elementary School since year one in 2014. She graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a certification in early childhood education. Mrs. England also completed her master’s with an emphasis in reading and technology. She began her full-time teaching career at Arbutus Elementary School in 1998, where she taught first grade for 13 years and kindergarten for 3 years. Mrs. England lives in PA with her husband and yellow Labrador retriever. Her daughter is a full-time student at the University of Florida. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, drawing, volunteering, and shopping for the classroom. Mrs. England always looks forward to getting to know her students and families, and she is very excited to be a part of this incredible team!
Mrs. Kline has been teaching kindergarten for BCPS since 2007. She previously taught in Catonsville, and then moved to Mays Chapel ES its opening year in 2014. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2006 from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan. She is currently working on attaining her master's with an emphasis in reading. Mrs. Kline has two daughters at home and enjoys reading, cooking, yoga and gardening.
Mrs. Morris has taught kindergarten her entire teaching career. She began teaching in 2005 after graduating from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught for Newport News Public Schools in Virginia while her husband was stationed there serving in the US Navy from 2005-2009. Mrs. Morris began teaching for Baltimore County Public Schools in 2009 when she and her family moved back north to be close to family again. She now lives in New Freedom, PA with her husband and two daughters. Mrs. Morris enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping, running on the NCR trail, and Zumba.
Ms. Spier is an energetic kindergarten teacher, born and raised outside of Boston. Ms. Spier has been teaching pre-k and kindergarten since 2012. She is a graduate of Stevenson University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education: Liberal Arts and Technology with a minor in Psychology. She loves to dance, travel around the world, make jokes, watch football, and knit!
