Mrs. Kline

Mrs. Kline has been teaching in the BCPS system since 2007. She previously taught in Catonsville, and then moved to Mays Chapel ES its opening year in 2014. Mrs. Kline taught kindergarten for ten years and is currently starting her second year teaching first grade.  She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2006 from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan.  Mrs. Kline has two daughters at home and enjoys reading, cooking, yoga and gardening.

 

Mrs. Shimkaveg

Mrs. Shimkaveg graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. Mrs. Shimkaveg has been a special educator in Baltimore County for 11 years. She has taught at both Chatsworth Elementary and Oliver Beach Elementary.  She is passionate about providing the best education for all students. Mrs. Shimkaveg has 2 children and her husband is also a special educator in Baltimore County. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and hanging out with her family.

 

Mrs. Pawlak

Mrs. Pawlak as been with Baltimore County since 2013. She received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Lander University in South Carolina and her Masters in Reading Education from Towson University. She spent most of her time in 1st and 2nd grade until 2023 when she joined the Reading Specialist team. When she is not teaching, she enjoys being an avid pet mom, spending time outside with her husband, going to concerts, cheering on the Ravens and Orioles, and being the best aunt possible to her nieces and nephew.

 

Ms. Washington

Ms. Washington is a graduate of Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. She received this degree in May 2015. She relocated from, the sweetest place on earth, Hershey, Pennsylvania. In her free time she enjoys yoga, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends. Teaching and learning is her passion; she delights in making learning exciting.  Ms. Washington is excited to see what another year at Mays Chapel will bring!

 

Mrs. England

Mrs. England is delighted to be teaching kindergarten at Mays Chapel Elementary School since year one in 2014. She graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a certification in early childhood education. Mrs. England also completed her master’s with an emphasis in reading and technology. She began her full-time teaching career at Arbutus Elementary School in 1998, where she taught first grade for 13 years and kindergarten for 3 years. Mrs. England lives in PA with her husband and yellow Labrador retriever. Her daughter is a full-time student at the University of Florida. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, drawing, volunteering, and shopping for the classroom. Mrs. England always looks forward to getting to know her students and families, and she is very excited to be a part of this incredible team!
