Mrs. Brenner began her career teaching first grade in Baltimore County after receiving a dual undergraduate degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Salisbury University in 2009. After four years in Baltimore County, she took an opportunity to teach in Portland,  Oregon where she also taught first grade. Though she fell in love with the beautiful Pacific Northwest, she is happy to be back home and teaching at Mays Chapel again. Aside from teaching, Mrs. Brenner enjoys being outdoors; hiking, trail running and paddle-boarding, traveling to new and old places, gardening and spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Brenner is looking forward to her third year in Kindergarten and is excited to teach, learn and grow with her students this year while creating meaningful connections and memories!


Mrs. Maietta

At age 9, Mrs. Maietta wanted to be a teacher because she liked writing on the chalkboard. Her reasons to go into education evolved and eventually led to her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware, immediately followed by a Masters in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey. Originally from South Jersey, Mrs. Maietta began her teaching career in 2007 for Prince George’s County Public Schools, teaching 1st and 2nd grades before coming to Baltimore County in 2012. Before coming to Mays Chapel in 2016, she spent 4 years teaching at Edmondson Heights Elementary, 1 year in reading reduction and 3 years in Kindergarten. When not teaching, Mrs. Maietta enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter and trying to get back into running. She loves being part of Team Mays! (If you were wondering how to pronounce her name it’s My-etta.)

 

Ms. Shramko

Ms. Shramko loves being a member of the Kindergarten team at Mays Chapel! She received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Stevenson University in 2018. Ms. Shramko just completed her Master's Degree in Reading Education with a certificate in ESOL at Towson University. Ms. Shramko looks forward to creating a strong and supportive environment for her new students to grow and learn in this year! When Ms. Shramko is not at school, she enjoys baking, gardening, reading and going on adventures with her dog, Lily! 

Ms. Montgomery

Ms. Montgomery was raised in Baltimore County has great BCPS pride.  After receiving degrees in elementary and special education from Radford University her BCPS teaching career started in the fall of 1990.  In the spring of 2008 she received her National Board Teaching Certificate. Ms. Montgomery is the proud parent of 2 children; Michael and Rebecca. Her interests include the great outdoors; trail running, backpacking, and riding horses. She also loves to cook and read, but most of all she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Montgomery is looking forward to learning about the interests of her students and celebrating the things that makes each of them special.
